Banquet Lead
The Banquet Lead is responsible for all aspects of the catered events hosted by Bleu Northeast Kitchen & Courtyard Burlington Harbor Hotel. Overseeing, supporting, and focusing on details such as set-up, food presentation, serving and cleanup, this role is responsible for ensuring proper execution of all events from start to finish. Bleu Northeast Kitchen provides a sophisticated and comfortable atmosphere for events of all shapes and sizes. We are looking for a kind and courteous individual to help conduct food, beverage, and event services at a high level of professionalism. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Providing efficient and memorable service to guests
Ability to prioritize and communicate and lead banquet serving team efficiently
Ensuring a positive dining & event atmosphere for all events
Delegate necessary tasks, while providing support to our banquet service team
Be the point of communication between departments including restaurant, sales, and hotel operations. Working closely with Food and Beverage Manager, Director of Catering, and Events coordinator
Knowledge of catering menus and procedures, familiarity with BEOs, and billing prefered
Observes and monitors guests to respond to, or predict any and all needs the guests may have
Must be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Must work in a safe and organized manner, adhering to all guidelines and standards of the restaurant and Marriott brand
Ensure a neat and tidy work space for guests and other employees
Is a positive resource for team members and banquet staff. Leading by example is a must
Relays needs of group to managers and kitchen staff to ensure satifaction of client
Serves food and beverage to guests using appropriate standards for timing and hospitality
Strong customer service skills
Be able to consistently delight and satisfy our guest and clients
